The opportunity to live in provincial New Zealand

I am not surprised by Catherine’s article.
Those who wish to buy and sell in the same city face the dilemma of the housing shortage, and the risk of house prices rising resulting in the loss of equity/capital investment. It is just a simple case of supply and demand.
The same can be said for new entrants in the city property market. First home buyers are being priced out subsequently due to insufficient income, and the Reserve Bank’s value equity ratio rules unless a family combined their finances/income together. I suspect multigenerational home ownership will become the norm in cities. For example, parents will help their children finance their first home purchase, or the family will decide to live together under one large roof. This brings with it a whole range of different legal and practical issues; ownership, finance structure, relationship property, gifts, loans, security, etc. Here at My Property Lawyer, we have the experience to help provide you with a clear understanding of what the legal issues are and how it is best to structure the deal with your love ones.
There is no doubt that there are some beautiful homes, views, communities and landscapes in our provincial towns. I reckon every young Kiwi couple would love the opportunity to live, work, play in our beautiful provinces. It is great to read that there are the job opportunities to make this happen. As the age of the baby bombers increase, I suspect that the likes of these opportunities will only increase.
